National Capital Area Survey Region

The survey region includes the Washington-Baltimore Consolidated Metropolitan Statistical Area (CMSA), as defined by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget (OMB), including St. Mary's County in Maryland and Frederick County in Virginia. The OMB defines the Washington-Baltimore region as the 12 Maryland counties of Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Calvert, Carroll, Charles, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's, Queen Anne's, and Washington; the 11 Virginia counties of Arlington, Clark, Culpeper, Fairfax, Fauquier, King George, Loudoun, Prince William, Spotsylvania, Stafford, and Warren; the West Virginia counties of Berkeley and Jefferson; and all encompassed areas and cities, including the District of Columbia.
